EL-Shaddai

EL-SHADDAI,THE ALL-SUFFICIENT ONE"I am God Almighty;
walk before me and be blameless."
Genesis 17:1

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, everything your heart will ever need, you will find in Me. I am sufficient for every crisis. I am enough to heal your hurts. I am El-Shaddai, a God who dreams impossible dreams--and accomplishes them through My believing children. I love to show My might and power to a disbelieving world, just like I did through Abraham and Sarah. Everything is possible with Me. Do you really believe that, My child?

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Like a kitten whimpering to nurse its mother, I cry out to You, El Shaddai. You are my All-Sufficient One in a world of empty dreams. You are God of the impossible. You are God Almighty, who supplies my every need. You fill me up, Lord. Where would I go if not to You?
SIMPLE TRUTH
When God designs the dream, He will also direct the course.

It's a GOD thing!!!

This is going to be long so bare with me...but I wanted to show you how AWESOME God is even though many of you don't have to be reminded...You experience his greatness EVERYDAY!!!

So I wanted to share with you guys some pictures from saturday afternoon. I have a friend (Kelly Rainey) from highschool who God has allowed us to cross paths again, and she has been such a blessing to us. When we started the online yard sale and preparing for the yard sale at home, she was the first to buy anything from us, and then she felt that she wanted to do more. So she sent out an email to anyone that knew if they knew anyone that sold items, and if they would donate a certain portion of their sales to our adoption funds...well praise God she got many replies back of people that would do this for us, but she chose Lori Hedberg. Well come to find out Lori was so excited about the party and she didnt understand why...she said she felt an overwhelming desire to help us...well she was cleaning out her husband's emai,l and she happened upon a email from Tim Tipton from our church at Chestnut mountain...it was when we put in a prayer request over the adoption...WE GO TO THE SAME CHURCH...can you belive that...GOd is so good....well then when I showed up at party with Rylie she recognized me from when Pastor Jeff asked us to talk about our adoption of Rylie at church....can you fathom that...only God could mesh all of this together...Kelly and half the people at the party were from Hebron, so that was a blessing that total strangers came out to support us in our adoption!!! God is so on board with adoption and getting people where they need to be when they say the word adoption...I have always said if you mutter the word adoption...you better hold on to your hat..because it is a ride!!!
Well we had the party saturday night 12 people showed and I appreciate everyone that came and supported us, thanks for buying and thanks for the donations that you gave as well. Lori herself sold 70 raffle tickets in her neighborhood alone....WOW...70 on her own accord...we have not closed out the party yet so we don't know how much that party raised for the adoption, but in raffle tickets alone it was $151.00 PRAISE GOD!!!!! That is a counseling session and a half for our birthmother!!

I had two people donate a total of $140.00 that said we could buy something but don't need it...so we will give you guys the entire amount...How thoughtful is that....
Then if all of that was not enough .............Then the most amazing thing is there was a couple and their friend that donated $300.00 I don't know if they want their name mentioned...but we want to shout out our praises to God for theses people....

I have been very weak in faith this week and I hate that...I have been praying to God this week to show me personally that things will be ok for us and he will provide the money and the baby for us...this weekend was a true testimate to that....everyone was so great saturday and then that morning Robbie and Brett brought 3; yes 3 truckloads of stuff that had been donated to our yard sale...then I was talking to myself not even praying about getting some baby boy items since I have all the girl things...and not even asking God for it at this time and you know what God is just providing...because Amy Norton graciously gave Beckham some of Brady's clothes and etc...and many of the items were BRAND NEW with tags still on them.. just another example of how good God is ........

Just like with Rylie God is providing for us to bring baby Beckham home to his forever
family...and we could not do this without such wonderful people in our lives!!
GOD bless you all and keep the prayers coming...

****by the way congratulations to Susan for winning the raffle prize!!!! That last picture was Rylie picking her name out of the box!

Isaiah 40:28-33 (NIV)
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Baby Beckham update!!

Hey guys
Some of you may not know this...but we have chosen a name for our little guy he is going to be named...

James Beckham Beddingfield

We wanted a "B" name since we have 2 "R's" we looked at all the B boy names and then we narrowed it down to ones we liked and then I wanted one that had a letter from each of the parents names...Birth parents and adoptive parents...and this is what we came up with and then...our BM is from England and Beckham is a common surname in England...and when we had our meeting with the counselor a few weeks back. She asked us the names we had picked out and we told her 3 of the names and her face lit up with Beckham She LOVED it... and so the story goes....Robbie had to have it...He said that is it we shall call him "Beckham" and there has been no looking back and Rylie is so CUTE when she says "Beckham"...it just makes you smile all over:)

Just wanted to update everyone. I spoke to the BM this afternoon after work for about an hour. She and baby are doing good. She went to doctor today and her next appt is next thursday. She will now have to start going every week since time is getting closer. YEAH!!!! She and BF seems still commited to the adoption. I went over the attorney information meeting we had on wednesday and she seemed to understand everything. She has her next counseling session that we are doing for her next thursday night. This night is where she is going to read over the surrender paperwork, sign a medical release and also formulate her birth plan (we will not be present at this meeting). Pam the counselor is awesome..we could not ask for a better counselor. She seems to get along with our BM really good. I shared tonight with BM the colors of the baby's room when she asked. She seemed pleased. She said that she can tell that we are really excited about the baby and she is happy to know that. I told her we are ready the best we can be for the little guy...I told her that we have already been buying clothes for the little guy and she said "ahhh how sweet"....She even offered to fill out a portion of his baby book that is about the birthparents...which I thought was really cool....
So I can sleep a little easier now knowing that I touched base with her and everything still seems like is in on track!!!
PRAISE GOD !!!!!!!! we so don't deserve this at all...God is so good to us...
ALso looking forward to the gathering tomorrow night at Kelly Rainey's ...you soo rock in our book:)

I want to be "careless in the care of God"

My sissy has been so good to me this week. Yesterday she came over to help sort the yard sale donation items...then stayed a little later even when I left for the attorney meeting. Then today I get this devotional from her and she is coming back today with lunch and to give me a few more hours...she is so good to me and I love you sissy...I know that you are one of my few die hard blog readers:)
The attorney went well yesterday. She is one of the nicest persons. She actually said that we can go ahead and have BF sign his surrenders since they are not legally married. Which is awesome. I just have to call BM this week and go over what we discussed with atttorney. She also told us to speak with hospital social worker and explain that we are adopting and give her a heads up since GMC is so anti-adoption. I pray that we have a good experience. She will be faxing all info to the counselor on next thursday so that she can go over surrenders and help her formulate her birth plan. I pray that all goes well with that as well. She wanted her to go over the surrenders with her first so when she is at hospital it is not the first time she hears them and then she has full understanding of them.
She said that there will be a few "incidentals" to pay for as well...of course right...more money... I found out that we have to have a court appointed person come to do a homestudy on us in order to finalize so that will not be until after the 10 days. This is nothing compared to the homestudy she said we had to do with Rylie. Then there are a few other associated fees...We even have to be refingerprinted and back ground stuff again...they only last one year so Rylie is 2 and they are no longer useable.

Then we found out the 10 days is really 10 business days:( yep and that starts the day AFTER she signs the surrender paperwork...so that is CRAZY long time....and if there are any holidays included that adds even more time, but hopefully I don't think there are any holidays in between now and her due date:) november 6th.
But that is a long time to have nausea, vomiting and diarhea everytime the phone rings:)

Just kidding...That is why I posted this blog because I want to be careless in the care of GOD!!!!

In God's CareThis devotional was written by Jim Grams

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
The words of Jesus in Matthew 6 are so powerful. They often challenge me and sometimes they confront and convict me. They always instruct and correct us.
Recently while reading His words in The Message, the following lines jumped out at me:
"...there is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God."
Those words literally stopped me in my reading. So often I'm anything but "careless in the care of God." I'm guessing you might be there also. Jesus lived at ease in His Father's care. He told the disciples to feed the masses when there was almost no food. He slept peacefully in the boat during a ferocious storm. He never allowed circumstances to alter His trust in God!
I want to live in God's constant care.
I want my trust in Him to be simple and sure.
I want God's care of my life to control every single thing I do.
I want to stop forgetting that my God is bigger than my circumstances.
After Jesus told the disciples to seek God's Kingdom first, he said: "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes." Jesus is sending us into the world and showing us how to go...Trusting!
Going Deeper:
Spend some time thinking about God's complete care.
Begin to trust Him in everything, even the tiny little stuff!

keep the prayers coming...we are almost there!!!!

Raise thye Ebenezer!!!

Raise Thy Ebenezer
This devotional was written by Kelly McFadden

"Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far has the Lord helped us." 1 Samuel 7:13
In the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel, in chapter 7, we read how the Israelites were under attack from the Philistines. The Israelites were afraid, so they asked Samuel to pray to God, asking God to rescue them. As Samuel was making a sacrifice to the Lord on behalf of the people, the Philistines attacked. But the Lord heard the prayer of Samuel and helped the Israelites win the battle. "Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far has the Lord helped us."
The stone acted as a reminder of how the Lord had delivered the Israelites from the hands of the Philistines. The term "Ebenezer" comes from a Greek word that simply means stone of help. Those who raise an Ebenezer are acknowledging that they were helped greatly by God in their lives.
Throughout the Old Testament, the people make monuments and memorials to praise God, but also to remind themselves of God's great deliverance. Remembering God's answered prayers strengthens our faith and confidence in the Lord. When we reflect on and remember His answered prayers, we can more easily trust that the God who was there yesterday, and is there today, will be there tomorrow.
So the next time you sing the hymn called "Come, Though Fount of Every Blessing," sing the second verse with gusto. "Here I raise my Ebenezer, Here by thy great help I've come." The term Ebenezer shouldn't simply remind you of Ebenezer Scrooge from the popular Dickens Christmas Carol. For when you sing that verse, you are declaring praises to God and thankfulness for His heart to help His people. In essence, you are recognizing God's great help in your life.

GOD is good!!

The Finished Work of Patience
References:
So as you have read over the past few blogs things have been a little rough around here...well I woke up this morning to this devotion...
God is so good to me that is all I have to say....
He gives me what I need when I need it...:)

James 1:2-4Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Dr. Mavis Heatherington works in an organization on the East Coast that helps parents through traumatic experiences in marriages where a child died or was born deformed. According to her studies, 70 percent of such couples separate or divorce within five years.
Why does this happen? Many couples simply have no strategy for living beyond romance. They don't have a plan that will hold their relationships together during that desperate period of suffering and pain.
Death and suffering are part of life. Part of the strategy for facing troubles is to realize that God allows difficulties in our lives for many reasons. British writer Malcolm Muggeridge once wrote:
Contrary to what might be expected, I look back on experiences that at the time seemed especially desolating and painful with particular satisfaction. Indeed, I can say with complete truthfulness that everything that I have learned in my 75 years in this world, everything that has truly enhanced and enlightened my experience, has been through affliction and not through happiness.
In other words, if it were ever to be possible to eliminate affliction from our earthly existence by the means of some drug, or some other medical mumble jumble, the result would not be to make life delectable, but to make it too banal and trivial to be endurable.
Many families can echo this experience. Yet despite all this valuable testimony, many couples seek to deal with trials by turning against one another rather than turning to God together in prayer.
When trials come to you and your family, do you process the pain together or fall apart? Will you be able to consider them as "joy"?
Prayer:
Together pray through (not around) a problem, trial or other issue, asking God to give you patience to allow time to learn from the experience. Ask God to increase your oneness as a couple.

NEW DONATIONS!

(you may have to go back 2 postings for this all to make sense)

I spoke with my sissy this weekend and she could hear the discouragement in my voice well sunday morning at church her pastor Donnie gave a great sermon and she summed it up in an email and sent it to me and even though this is a personal email I wanted to share it because I think in our times we could ALWAYS use a little encouragement....
I am blessed to have a sissy like this:)

Donnie was wide open this morning he gave Mark11:23-242; Corintians 4:15-18
He said God desires to show up MIGHTLY ON OUR BEHALF!!!
For us to speak to the mountains in our lives that stand in the way of our PROMISE!!!
God desires to show up STRONG!!!
He had a alter call and half the church was at the alter!!!
He said spend the week thanking GOD for MOVING THE MOUNTAINS STANDING IN OUR WAY OF THE PROMISE!!!
He just confirmed what I heard before church on TV. The pastor was saying that we need to watch what we say and think about!!!He ask
WHAT DO YOU LOOK AT???
The problems or THE PROMISE!!!
The enemy or THE ANGELS!!!
Defeat or THE VICTORY!!!
He said we need to DISCERN IT, DECIDE IT and TO DECLARE THE PROMISES!!!
Reason takes us by the hand and takes you as far as you can see!!
FAITH takes the HAND OF GOD and goes as far as GOD CAN GO!!!
Death and Doubt talk brings the enemy on the scene!!!
FAITH TALK BRINGS GOD ON THE SCENE!!!!!
IF you speak it out it becomes seed and when you keep speaking it GROWS!!! Well this really encouraged me and I hope it does you!!!
Look for GOD THIS WEEK TO SHOW UP AND DO WHAT ONLY HE CAN DO!!!
I love you,
Sissy

The treadmill :0

This is todays's Devotion....
2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
Do you ever get the feeling that life is like a treadmill?
I try to run three miles at least three times each week. But when I started out several years ago-on my fortieth birthday-I could barely run downhill for one mile. I had to build up quite a bit of stamina to reach three miles a day.
The older you get, the steeper the incline of the treadmill seems to become. Sound like bad news? It really isn't. As Paul said, a law of "inverse proportion" works in our favor. While our outer man is growing old, our inner man is being renewed.
But if I understand the Scripture, the longer we live, the more we have to die. The more you want to grow, the more you and I must say no to self and yes to Christ.
God gives our legs hills so that we can grow stronger. The prophet Isaiah gives us the secret of where strong legs come from:
"Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary" (Isaiah 40:31).

Now there's an encouraging word. As you persevere on the treadmill of life, you can count on God's grace empowering those tired muscles. And remember that if you are following the Lord your walk is really taking you somewhere. You're not just a sweating sufferer on a treadmill; you're a pilgrim on a journey. And you have the promise of God:
"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life" (James 1:12).

It's a beautiful day!!!!!!!!!!

God is so good..let me tell you why!!

I have secretly been have a hard time this week with things. I am getting overwhelmed with the yardsale and trying to get that stuff ready and trying to sort through things. We have our meeting with attorney on wednesday at 2:30. Also praying that when we do have the yard sale, people will come and buy the stuff. Praying for good weather and a good turnout...This week satan has really messed with me. He is even using Rylie to get to me. It is really been a trying week for me. I shared with Robbie my feelings today. Robbie has such non wavering faith and I am the old worry wart of the marriage and I wish I wasn't. But today our pastor preached a sermon DIRECTLY to me. Man I was blown away. We are doing the behind the music where they used a secular song and based a message on it...well today was It's a beautiful day by U2.

There are 4 ways to choose a beautiful day:

1. Maintain a proper perspective

1 Peter 4:12-13

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

2 Corinthians 11:23-28

Our problems are not that bad...compared to this passage in the bible..ehh

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Habakkuk 3:17-18

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

(no matter what our burdens are we all have them in some way shape or fashion, but rejoice in the lord even in the hard times and know that they will not last long. And know that HIS glory will be revealed in our suffering.)

2. Focus on God's power and presence

Isaiah 40:1-31

31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 41:10

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Psalm 23:1-6

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

(He never leaves us...if we feel far from God check yourself and see who has moved because He never does, He is always there for you at the simple whisper of His name...(great to know that))

3. Make your request known to God through prayer

Phil 4:6

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done

(this is the hardest thing for me is not to worry...it is like breathing to me...and I can't help myself...:( )

James 5:13-18
Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.

4. Recieve God's peace that passes all understanding

John 14:27
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
(man here it is in black and white PEACE OF MIND...why can't I stay in a constant state of that with this)

Phil 4:6-9
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Sorry this blog is so long this time, but I wanted to share it with you guys..not only to be transparent and share with you what is going on with me, but I felt that with everything going on right now in the world we all needed to hear this...so for my fellow church family you got to have a review of today's sermon:)
To the others I hope you can get something from all of that...It sounds and makes way more sense coming from Pastor Jeff of course...God Bless him!

I know deep down in my "knower" (throw back from Pastor Donnie) that God has this all worked out for us down the road. All of this has happened for a reason. I praise him for our little guy one minute and then try to worry about all the finances and other what if's the other minute. God provided and blessed us TREMENDOUSLY with our little Rylie...to us He showed out with Rylie and her adoption. She is such a blessing to us and I look at her EVERY morning and praise God for her and thank him for her. We didn't do anything to deserve such a precious little girl. We know this little guy will be just as special to us, we love him so much already...
anyway I will stop rambeling on now...just keep us in your prayers and pray for satan to be bounded up and cast out all of my worries and concerns in regards to this adoption....and start to praise GOD more for the blessing that He is bestowing us with...

Well our attorney called and set up an appointment with us for next wednesday at 2:30. We will have to pay her for her services in advance. We are not having our fundraising party until september 27th and then the yard sale is not until october 3rd and 4th. Pray that God provides. We know that he will in whatever way he sees fit. Someone is coming two hours away on friday to buy Robbie's wheels that he had listed on line so that will be $45 dollars we lowered the price. Pray that it doesn't happen too often with us. I am such a push over with some things. Andrea at work donated two boxes full of items today. Several DVD's and girl clothes and some other items...A few of them I am trying to sell on EBAY to bring more money in on some special items. We appreciate everything everyone has done for us. Also if anyone is interested the taste of home counsultant donated a 2 teir dip set valued over $60 dollars that she is raffeling off. She is selling tickets for $1.00 a peice and then she is drawing the winner on saturday night at the TOHE party. You do not have to be present to win. We can get the set to you. If you are interested in purchasing any tickets just let me or Kelly Rainey know. The entire proceeds goes to our adoption. Lori has been a blessing to us for sure not only donating her time but one of her products.
Linsy and Nana Helen took some raffle tickets to try to sell. Everyone has been such a blessing to us.
My sissy is coming over tomorrow to try to sort out some of the garage sale items. We have a dresser and some more movies to pick up tomorrow at church:)

Devil in Disquise

I went to a women's seminar this may and there was a speaker speaking about us have "Peninnah's" in our lives. I samuel :Peninnah was Elkanah's wife along with Hannah and Peninnah always was mean to Hannah and was like "nanana boo boo" I have given Elhanah's children you are barren. Hannah fasted and prayed to God to open her womb and He did in His time and blessed her with a son, AFTER she promised to give him to God. IF God had given Hannah Samuel too early He could not have used Samuel in His plan and she might not wanted to give him up to God. He provided in HIS time...
Peninnah is like that mosquito at the lake or the fly in the ointment. She tried to still the happiness from Hannah and the woman that was giving the lesson said we all have Penninah's in our lives and we have to say "get behind me Peninnah you can't bother me and rain on my parade now" You probably can look at your life right now and see one or two Penninah's. We all have them, but the way we react to them is what shows glory to God.
I have a couple of Peninnah's right now and I am clinging closer to my angels on earth I have around us that are supporting us 100% hands down. You too will be BLESSED!!!
