God is so good to us. We can not praise Him enough. We went the the session our appt. was at 7 and we didnt get back to the counselor until 7:25. We spoke with her briefly before birth parents arrived. This was the first meeting with Robbie and them. It went great. We shared some information with one another about our history and aspirations and family. It was reallly nice. Before we even got started she called us over to show us the ultrasound pictures and we were all oohhin and ahhing over them even the counselor and then I handed them back and she said "no keep them for his baby's book" I could have fell over....WE actually have little pictures of our little guy...He has the biggest feet of any baby I have seen. He already is 5lbs 4oz at this time she is right at 32 weeks. Her next appt is at the end of this month and then she goes weekly. The counselor said that by her giving us those ultrasound pictures that was a HUGE plus for us. we went in depth over their decision to place for adoption. She is meeting with counselor on october 2nd to write the birthing plan with her. She is very strict on what she wants. one bad thing for us is that she is delivering from Gwinnett medical center and they are a anti-adoption hospital. They want birthmothers to keep the babies and have counselors actually come in and talk with the BM in regards to decision. So that is the importance of a birth plan but the counselor really warned her that they will press the issue and she would have to be firm and say I have been to counseling and this is what I want to do. So pray that all of that goes well, however we serve a sovereign God and HE is on the throne and HE is in control and we know things will work and move by His hand.
One cool thing is that we cracked up about it that both daddies LOVE the weather channel...we women folks it drives us crazy that it is both of our computer's homepages at well..how funny is that. They both said that they would have loved to have been meterologist...isn't that a small world.
But I tell you this this baby is so going to be a october baby. He will come early she has only gained 16 lbs it is ALL belly and she looks like she is about to "pop"....
So all in all we feel great about things..The BM counselor states that things look really promising. She said that they both have a good head on their shoulders and seem to have thought all things out. Time will tell...In the meantime we are preparing for God's little blessing for us...
We want to thank EVERYONE for the calls, emails and the prayers. We felt surrounded by your love in this time. We knew God had our backs and He calmed our anxiety and settled us in when we needed it before the Birthparents came in. God is so Good!
We do have another specific prayer request outside of prayer over no c-section for BM.Pray that baby boy does not inherit food allergies from BF (peanuts and lactose intolerance).
